The Sierra de Cebollera is one of the two natural areas in La Rioja with natural park status, along with the Alto Najerilla. It lies on the northern slope of the Iberian System, between Villoslada de Cameros and Lumbreras de Cameros, with 23,640 hectares, and has regained its forests after centuries of intense transhumance activity.
Above 2,000 metres there are glacial formations, such as Peña Cebollera, and its glacial 'hoyos' are one of the largest groups on the peninsula. Scots pine, beech, Pyrenean oak, sessile oak and mountain pine grow here, and the goshawk, the Iberian wolf, the otter and the Pyrenean desman live here.
It is about 50 km from Logroño by the N-111, and the interpretation centre is in Villoslada de Cameros.
