Cabo Cope is a limestone headland that juts into the Gulf of Mazarrón, between Cabo de Palos and Cabo de Gata. It belongs to the municipality of Águilas. To the east is the Ensenada de la Fuente, with the Torre de Cope or del Santo Cristo, beside a freshwater spring; to the west, the hamlet of Calabardina.
It is part of the Natura 2000 network, as the 'Cabo de Cope' Site of Community Importance and the 'Sierra de la Almenara, Moreras y Cabo Cope' Special Protection Area for Birds. On 22 April 2020 the association ANSE announced the purchase of 270 hectares.
