The Torrent de Pareis crosses the Serra de Tramuntana in Mallorca. It rises in Escorca at 180 metres of altitude, runs down from S'Entreforc, where the Gorg Blau and the Lluc stream meet, and flows into the Mediterranean after 3.3 km. It was declared a Natural Monument in 2003 (Decree 53/2003 of 16 May), together with the Gorg Blau and the Lluc stream.
Its flora exceeds 300 species, about 10% of them Balearic endemics, and it is home to the Mallorcan midwife toad or ferreret (Alytes muletensis), an endemic species.
It is one of the best-known hikes on the island, done by many walkers who go down from Escorca to La Calobra. The difficulty of the route and the lack of preparation of visitors mean it accounts for a quarter of the rescues on Mallorca, so it is wise to go well equipped.
