Fuente Dé is a village in the municipality of Camaleño, in Cantabria, at 1,094 metres of altitude. Its glacial cirque, covered with beech woods, is where the river Deva rises and a site of geomorphological interest; the name comes from the spring of that river.
The cable car climbs a difference of 753 metres with 1,840 metres of cable and takes a little over three and a half minutes. Trails leave from the village and from El Cable, and the Vadiniense Route of the Camino de Santiago passes through Fuente Dé.
It is also a second-category cycling climb: it was the finish of stage 17 of the 2012 Vuelta a España, won by Alberto Contador. From above, the Picos de Europa open out at your feet.
