The Pedraforca is an emblematic mountain of Catalonia, in the Cadí range, within the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park, on the border between Barcelona and Lleida, in the Berguedà comarca. Its shape is very peculiar, with two summits separated by a great saddle: the Pollegó Superior (2,506 m) and the Pollegó Inferior (2,445 m). It has been a Natural Site of National Interest since 1982.
It is limestone, formed about 25 million years ago, and its U-shaped profile gives the mountain its name. The Estasen route was opened on 30 June 1928.
You get there by the B-400 road from Collet or by the C-563 via Gósol. The emblem of the Catalan Pyrenees.
