A Coruña · Galicia

The Ézaro waterfall, or Xallas waterfall, is formed by the river Xallas as it flows into the sea. It is in the municipality of Dumbría, in A Coruña, and the last stretch of the river drops 155 metres. The water falls into the canyon at the foot of Mount Pindo (630 m).

It is a Site of Community Importance and has a minimum ecological flow, so it can be enjoyed at any time of year.

As early as 1724 it was described as a cloud of spray visible from several kilometres out to sea. A river that falls almost into the ocean, a rare phenomenon in Europe.
