Las Tuerces

Las Tuerces is a natural area in the province of Palencia, with 782 hectares, shared between the municipalities of Aguilar de Campoo and Pomar de Valdivia. It is a peculiar enclave, the result of karst dissolution of Upper Cretaceous limestone rocks, in the westernmost foothills of the Páramos de La Lora.

This karst erosion gave rise to the Cañón de la Horadada. A labyrinth of oddly shaped rocks in the Palencian mountains.
