Monte Hacho is a low mountain on the Almina peninsula, in Ceuta, on the Mediterranean coast of the Strait of Gibraltar, with a maximum height of 204 metres. Opposite it rises the Rock of Gibraltar, and together they are usually considered the two Pillars of Hercules, with the Hacho identified with the ancient Mount Abyla.

The fortress of the Hacho, which crowns the summit, had a first construction of Byzantine origin; the present one dates from the 18th and 19th centuries. You get there by the San Amaro road.

It is a natural viewpoint over the strait: a good place to see how two seas and two continents meet.
