Penyagolosa is a mountain of the Iberian System, in Castellón. At 1,813 metres, it is the highest peak in the province and the second in the Valencian Community, surpassed only by Cerro Calderón (1,838 metres). The Generalitat Valenciana declared it a natural park in 2006.

It is limestone and marl, with black pine, Scots pine, Pyrenean oak, maple, yew and holly.

The sanctuary of San Juan de Peñagolosa is a destination for pilgrimages. You climb from Vistabella del Maestrazgo, and there are trails such as the GR-33, the GR-7 and the PR-CV 79, which starts from Lucena del Cid. Pine forest and pilgrimage routes.
